Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using our website or placing an order. By accessing or purchasing from https://regalgemsandjewellery.co.uk, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website.

Regal Gems & Jewellery (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a UK-based retailer of fine gemstones and jewellery. Our registered business address and contact details are available on our Contact page.

1. Definitions

“Customer”, “you”, “your” means any person who browses, registers on, or purchases from our Website.
“Products” means gemstones, jewellery, and any other items offered for sale on our Website.
“Order” means a request by you to purchase Products from us.
“Contract” means the legally binding agreement between you and us formed when we accept your Order.

2. Use of Our Website

You must be at least 18 years old to place an Order or create an account.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering or placing an Order.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and for all activities that occur under your account.
We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or cancel Orders at our discretion, including where we suspect fraudulent activity.

3. Product Descriptions, Pricing & Availability

We make every effort to display our Products as accurately as possible, including images, descriptions, weights, measurements, and gemstone certifications. However, natural gemstones may vary in colour, clarity, and appearance due to screen settings and the unique nature of each stone.
All Products are subject to availability. If an item becomes unavailable after you place an Order, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer a refund or alternative.
Prices are listed in GBP (£) and include VAT at the applicable rate unless otherwise stated.
We reserve the right to change prices at any time without prior notice. Changes will not affect Orders already accepted.
Typographical errors or inaccuracies in pricing are not binding. If we discover an error in the price of an item you have ordered, we will contact you and give you the option to reconfirm at the correct price or cancel the Order.

4. Orders & Contract Formation

Placing an Order through our Website constitutes an offer to purchase Products subject to these Terms.
Orders are not accepted until we send you an Order Confirmation email. The Contract is formed only when we issue the Order Confirmation.
We reserve the right to decline any Order at our sole discretion.
We recommend printing or saving a copy of your Order Confirmation for your records.

5. Payment

Payment must be made in full at the time of ordering unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We accept payment via the methods displayed at checkout, which may include credit/debit cards, PayPal, Stripe, bank transfer, or other secure payment providers.
All payment information is processed securely through PCI-compliant payment gateways. We do not store your full credit or debit card details.
Title to the Products will not pass to you until we have received payment in full.

6. Delivery & Shipping

We aim to dispatch Orders within the timeframe stated on the product page or at checkout. Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed.
Delivery charges, if any, will be displayed during checkout and included in your Order total.
Risk in the Products passes to you upon delivery. We recommend inspecting your Order immediately upon receipt.
If delivery is delayed due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., courier delays, customs clearance, weather), we will not be liable for the delay.
For high-value items, we may require a signature upon delivery and may use insured courier services.
We currently deliver to addresses within the United Kingdom and selected international destinations. International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import fees.

7. Risk & Ownership

Ownership of the Products transfers to you once payment has been received in full and the Products have been delivered to the address specified in your Order.
Risk of loss or damage passes to you upon delivery. If you fail to take delivery and the Products are returned to us, additional delivery charges may apply.

8. Right to Cancel & Returns (Consumer Rights)

8.1 Cancellation Right

If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, you have the right to cancel your Order within 14 days of receiving the Products without giving any reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

8.3 Return Conditions

Products must be returned in their original condition, unworn, undamaged, and with all original packaging, certificates, tags, and documentation.
You are responsible for the cost of returning the Products unless they are faulty or misdescribed. We recommend using an insured, trackable delivery service, as you are responsible for the Products until they reach us.
We reserve the right to deduct amounts from your refund if the Products show signs of wear, damage, or are missing packaging or documentation.

8.4 Refunds

We will issue a refund within 14 days of receiving the returned Products, or within 14 days of you providing evidence of return, whichever is sooner.
Refunds will be made using the same payment method you used for the original Order.
Original delivery charges are refundable only if the entire Order is returned due to fault or misdescription.

8.5 Exceptions to the Right to Cancel

The following Products cannot be returned unless faulty or misdescribed:

Bespoke or custom-made jewellery made to your specifications (e.g., custom ring sizes, personalised engravings, specially sourced gemstones).
Products that have been worn, altered, or damaged after delivery.
Products where the seal or packaging has been broken and cannot be resold for hygiene or security reasons.

9. Bespoke & Custom Orders

Bespoke or custom-made items are made to your specifications and are non-refundable, except where faulty or not in accordance with the agreed specification.
We will provide a written quotation for bespoke work, which must be accepted and paid for in full (or deposit paid, as agreed) before work begins.
Production times for bespoke items will be agreed in writing. Delays due to sourcing rare gemstones or craft processes will be communicated to you.
Any changes to bespoke Orders after work has commenced may incur additional charges and may not be possible.

10. Product Care, Authenticity & Certification

All gemstones and jewellery are described to the best of our knowledge. We provide certification for gemstones where stated on the product page.
Gemstones are natural products; variations in colour, clarity, and inclusions are normal and part of their unique character.
We recommend professional cleaning and periodic inspection of jewellery, especially items with set stones. We are not liable for damage caused by improper care, wear and tear, or accidental loss of stones.
Resizing of rings may affect structural integrity or stone settings. We recommend having resizing performed by a qualified jeweller.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on this Website, including text, images, logos, graphics, and product descriptions, is the property of Regal Gems & Jewellery or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or use any content from this Website for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.
Unauthorised use of any content may result in legal action.

12. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, including loss of profit, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the Website or purchase of Products.
Our total liability in connection with any Order will not exceed the total amount paid for that Order.
We do not guarantee that the Website will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free from viruses or other harmful material. You are responsible for ensuring your own device security.

13. Force Majeure

We will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, war, terrorism, riots, natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, trade disputes, fire, flood, or failure of telecommunications, transport, or utility services.

14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Website will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
As a consumer, you may also be entitled to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence under EU/UK consumer protection law.
